Entrepreneurs have long been building the economic landscape in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), yet local investment capital, the catalyst for fueling business, had not been keeping pace.

Through our work in the region, we knew talented, determined entrepreneurs with exceptional companies who struggled to raise critical capital needed for building their business — to hire talent, enhance products and reach more customers.  At the same time, we also knew forward-thinking global investors deeply committed to financing innovative technology but unable to find the right opportunities.
